Anastazia David Furutia
Tanzania, United Republic of
Hi, my name is Anastazia from Tanzania! I am a dedicated advocate for sustainable food systems, climate resilience, and environmental justice.
As the founder of the GreenHarbor Resilience Project, I lead initiatives in climate-smart agriculture, environmental education, and clean cooking to promote food security. I also serve as a Food Rescue Ambassador for Foolish Food Tanzania, combating food waste and food insecurity.
In my leadership roles, I am the Country Director for SDG Brigade Tanzania, a Climate Ambassador for the Global Youth Climate Network, and a Food Systems Youth Leader with Tanzania Youth Alliance for Food Systems. Additionally, I am a member of the Governing Advisory Board for Climate Solutions International and Tanzania’s Country Representative for GreenLead, empowering young leaders in climate action.
I am also a GRiC Africa Youth Fellow and a Local Pathway Fellow with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network - Youth Initiative, advocating for sustainable cities and urban food systems. Moreover, I am a Grant and Fundraising Manager for the Climate Mobility Community Action Movement, where I work on mobilizing resources for climate resilience projects. As Chapter Leader for GreenPulse Education Tanzania, I lead initiatives that promote environmental education and advocate for youth-driven solutions to global sustainability challenges. Through my work, I aim to bridge the gap between environmental sustainability, food security, and youth empowerment, ensuring resilient communities for the future.
