By accessing and using the website, you accept these Terms and Conditions (T&C in full).

Users who are granted access to publish posts on the Website will be asked to expressly agree to these T&C (refer to section 4: For Youth Leaders with a user account).

1. Background

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (“GAIN”) and the Food Foundation (“FF”) joined forces to empower an inclusive global movement campaigning and acting to transform food systems (“Common Goal”). There are two calls for action under the movement “Act4Food Act4Change”. GAIN is leading on Act4Food, and FF is leading on Act4Change. The users are hereby informed that no joint venture or legal partnership is established between GAIN and FF. This website is maintained by GAIN.

The website contains links to the Act4Change website, which remains under the control and responsibility of FF.

Act4Food and Act4Change is a tagline which is only to be used in the context of the movement intended to achieve the Common Goal. Please contact us for branding instructions if you wish to use the tagline.

3. Content and authorized use

This website is meant to provide youth leaders with a place to share their ideas and commitments and for youth across the world to rally behind the Act4Food Act4Change movement and record their pledge.

As a disclaimer note, the views of the Youth Leaders published on the website are the ones of the youth leaders themselves, and do not necessarily reflect the views of GAIN or of the organisations they work with.

The information contained in this website is provided for general purposes only and is only intended to be used in the context of the Common Goal.  Any other use, such as using the website or the information contained in it for spamming or unsolicited advertising or promotion is strictly prohibited.

No reproduction of any part of the website may be sold or distributed for commercial gain nor shall it be modified or incorporated in any other work or publication, or site, whether in hard copy or electronic format, without the prior written consent of GAIN or the relevant copyright owner.

Content published on this website may be reproduced by way of printing, downloading and distributing subject to proper acknowledgement of sources, and shall remain at all times for lawful, non-commercial, information purposes and be aligned with the Common Goal.

You may only use this website for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Principles of the Act4Food and Act4Change movement along with the Principles of the UN Food System Summit. User accounts or newsletter subscriptions can be terminated at any time in case of abuse. If you have any specific queries or requests, please contact info@actions4food.org for further information. 4. For Youth Leaders with a user account

To be read by all individuals with a user account as “Author” authorized to upload a post to the site (“Post(s)”)

4.1 “Post(s)” include text such as biographies, stories, works, including without limitation text, graphics, images, video material, scripts, files, that YOU submit on the website for publication.

4.2 Only Post(s) with a direct link to the Common Goal are authorized on the website.

4.3 By posting on this website, you also authorize GAIN to use, store, reproduce or refer to your Post on any existing or future media with direct link to the Common Goal.

4.4 You may edit the Post(s) to the extent permitted using the editing functionality made available on the website.

4.5 The Post must not:
(i) contain any harmful or illegal content; or
(ii) be offensive, deceptive of threatening; or
(iii) contain any unlicensed content or otherwise infringe any intellectual property rights of a third party; or
(iv) contain information of a confidential nature; or
(v) infringe any rights to privacy under the applicable data protection legislation; or
(vi) contain any marketing information intended to advertise or offer to sell goods or services;
(vii) constitute negligence advice or contain any negligent statement

4.6 GAIN is entitled to delete a Post if it determines that if contravenes any of the above. You also commit to inform GAIN if You believe that a Post contravenes these T&C. You shall not delete or amend a Post without GAIN’s prior written permission.

4.7 You must keep your password confidential and not allow any other person to use your account details. You must notify GAIN immediately in writing if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.8 GAIN may suspend the account at any time in the event of a breach of these T&C.

5. Limitation of liability

The contents of this website are believed to be correct at the time of inclusion.  GAIN attempts to ensure that the contents of this website are accurate and current however content is liable to change and GAIN does not guarantee its currency or accuracy.  GAIN cannot be held liable for any kind of damages, whether direct or indirect, resulting from your use of or your reliance on this website or its contents.

GAIN makes no warranty or representation, express or implied, in relation to this website or its content.  This website and its contents are provided to you “as is” and “as available”.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

These T&C and interpretation are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The parties submit all their disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Canton of Geneva.

8.2 GAIN may revise these T&C from time to time. The revised T&C shall apply to the use of the website from the date of publication of the revised terms.
