Caitlin Breen
Ireland
Hi, I'm Caitlin! I am a Youth Activism Officer for Airfield Estate, an urban, working farm in Dublin, Ireland. As part of this role, I support members of Airfield’s Youth Board to become young activists and future leaders in the space of food sustainability, sustainable agriculture and climate action. Having completed an MSc in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security and a BSc in Botany, I am passionate about climate justice and sustainable food systems. Justice is integral to all of my activism, including advocating for a Just Transition for all people involved in sectors which will have to adapt as we lower our GHG emissions. In order to transform our global food system, I believe we must include a diverse range of voices, including those of indigenous people, young people, women and many more groups, who typically do not hold space at decision-making tables.
