Hello, I'm Itske! I recently completed the thesis of my Master’s in Global Business and Sustainability at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where I delved into reshaping current socio-economic systems for the healing of both people and the Earth. With a passion for positive impact, I discovered the transformative power of dance early on, using it to communicate stories creatively.
During my bachelor’s in International Communication and Media, I found ways to merge my creative and analytical sides, effectively using my voice and writing to communicate meaningful insights on complex systems. Continuing my academic journey, I am pursuing a second Master’s in Environmental Systems Analysis at Wageningen University, specializing in shaping future food systems that harmonize human needs for food production and security while safeguarding natural resources and the environment.
Fascinated by the role of the mind, I am researching what mindset enables the transition toward a regenerative food system. Through experience, I have realized the power of connections – between individuals, the environment, and oneself - and firmly believe in the potential of inner development to transform food systems and redefine the significance of food and farming.
As Albert Einstein wisely noted, “'No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” I am committed to my journey of self-regeneration, expanding my understanding of the world and hopefully sowing seeds of inspiration to accelerate the transition towards a regenerative-based paradigm.
